Composer and conductor Shimon Knoll has written many works, providing his unique commentary on the Bible as a whole. No other composer is known for having embarked on such a mission in the entire history of music! Furthermore, he also left behind a dozen albums with over one hundred recorded works, and many others performed by renowned orchestras and first class performers. Symphonic, chamber, and vocal pieces for choirs and soloists, concerti, oratorios, symphonies, operas, all conducted by him in a series of seven "praises", massive hymns documenting the great figures of Judaism, from Adam and the creation story to the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, and now Solomon.
The praises (also called “prayers”) closely follow the biblical text, offering rare and unique commentary on the Bible as a whole
He spent over thirty years working on this mission, and now the fruits of his labor are presented here to you, in an elegant package (first edition). The next package is already in the works…
